Meet The Staff

Lead Pastor

RT serves as the Lead Pastor. RT has been on staff at Villa since 2016. He also serves as a chaplain in the Indiana Army National Guard. He holds his Bachelor's from Indiana University and his Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Karen, have three children.

Senior Ministries Pastor

Jimmie Harris oversees the Senior Adult Ministries (JOY). He has been attending Villa since 1998 when he moved to Indianapolis after retiring from the Army. Jimmie received his Master of Divinity from Oval Bible College. He and his wife, Cindy, have four children and 15 grandchildren.

Office Manager

Julie Ward has been a member of Villa Baptist Church since 1994. She and her husband, Chris, were married here in 1995. She began working in the church office in 2000, and currently serves as our Office Manager. Chris and Julie are active in many church ministries.

Kids Director

​Kelli was born and raised right here in Indianapolis, Indiana, and grew up attending church at Villa. She graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield Missouri with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Kelli married her husband, Kris, in 2010, and they have three children; Emeri, Kambri, and Leeland. She has a large heart for children and children’s ministries, and works here at our very own Wee Care Early Learning Ministry. Kelli currently oversees Villa’s children’s programs from birth through fifth grade.

Worship Leader

Michael grew up attending Baptist Academy (now, Central Christian Academy), right here in our neighborhood. He met his wife, Courtney, at Ohio Valley University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. He came to know Christ at a young age, has always been heavily involved in church music, and enjoys playing sports and video games in his spare time. He and Courtney were married in 2010 and have two beautiful, young children, Gideon and Thea.

Connections Director

Kristie was born and raised in Kokomo, IN, and moved to Indianapolis in 2012. She completed her Bachelors of Science degree in Youth Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2010. She began regularly attending Villa in 2014 when she married her husband, Jason. She and Jason have one son, Isaac.

Youth Director

Taylor Bell began attending Villa at the age of 2 as a result of his grandpa coming to Christ. Taylor graduated from Southport High School, where he met his wife, Jessica. God has used Villa to grow their marriage spiritually over the years. It is their goal to boldly further that discipleship effort within the youth group.
